Lady in Red

To many ' Lady in Red' is that famous Chris De Burg song...
For others 'Lady In Red' is Julia Roberts
To some Lady in Red may also bring that cartoon character in mind...
But recently I conferred this title on one of my dearest gal pals..
You have met her as Ms. Inky Pink...
but she makes Red work as beautifully too, rather gorgeously!

It doesnt have to be an expensive dress to make RED work....

To beat the October heat she has dressed up in a simple off-to-GOA look for you....

ROSES are RED..:D

And you cant miss the well-styled hair and eye make-up again! :D

Fall Fashion 2010 inspired

I've been experimenting with my wardrobe a lot over the past few months. And like a confirmation to continue doing that, a couple of fashion students caught up with me at Koregaon Park. I soon realised they were complimenting me on my style and then requested me if I could answer a few of their questions as regards the fresh fashion trends.
This doesn;t happen to me everyday so I was mighty pleased with myself and flattered too..hehehehe :))

Now my confidence about the experimental look i was wearing that day has risen a notch higher and so I am about to share it with you...

Inspiration: Adam Lippes Design for Adam Fall fashion 2010

High waisted Jodhpur pants. Ofcourse it looked a whole lot different on me.

I am wearing  Black button front high waist Jodhpur pants: M.G.Road, Camp, Pune.
Purple Body fit Lycra top:  GANT, Mumbai
Golden Metal wristlets: thrifted- Crawford Market, Mumbai

By day I chose to wear this outfit with Oshos

And thought I could sport the look for a casual Friday evening Dinner
with this pair of Marie Claire Flat Pumps.

Please ignore my ugly feet!!!

Now its for you, my fashionista friends to tell me if this look

WORKS or NOT?

Baby Pink

Here's a cute little friend I have who aspires to be a top Bollywood actress some day....
She may not be a native Indian but her heart belongs here and how?!
Mention Bollywood and she can show you some dance moves that even our divas will be stupefied..
And I am not exaggerating...
Here's the baby in her favourite colour PINK...:)

Pink & White can never go wrong can it?

I've always believed the sweet innocence and naivety within shows through one's eyes. What do you think?

Simplicity can go a long way some times. She made the simple school girl look work didn't she?
She wore a 'Just Casuals' whit shirt with a Baby Pink knee length skirt and Converse. A dash of pink accessories and she was good to go...:D

Wild is me!

They say the warm weather brings our inner animal out of hibernation. And Saturday Nights are HOT indeed at Smokies, Pune's First BrewHouse and Liquid Buffet Place. So the party animal in me decided to get up and go bold! :D

WARNING: These pics have been clicked after a round of Mango flavoured, freshly brewed Doolally Beer and sumptuous dinner. Please pardon if I appear zoned out at some places..hehehe..:P

After shaking a leg and all the booty possible to the groovy music, the soft luscious lawns beckoned to me.
So I sit down!

And the nocturnal animal gets to some meditation....;) :D

Who dares disturb this Yogi??? :P

What I'm wearing:
Animal Print Silk Shirt - Hong Kong (Yes, the 2nd Fashion Capital of the World. :D)
Black Straight Fit Jeans- Gant,

Dots & Nets

Since the time Coco Chanel transformed BLACK into a fashion statement, the little black dress has become a quintessential element of every girl's wardrobe. Here's revisiting a little black dress with another fashion favourite; the dots. My friend here chooses to wear it with fish net stockings and basic black pumps.
By her personal fashion sense, she goes blingless.
It's Vibzy's touch there that she sports those bangles in one of the shots!  ;)
I'm sure this is going to net a lot of hearts for her!! What say you??

Hot Steppers!

Temperatures are going beyond 41C in cities…
Are you wondering how to maintain cool feet in this sweltering heat ?
We girls went shopping!

Feet can be kept cool with lovely, trendy yet comfortable footwear that can leave you looking extremely hot. And that’s just what we went hunting…

And found some extremely fresh fashion.....Eclectic ethnic is IN.
These slip ons can be worn with kurtis and capris. Scorch the walkway!

These are just apt to be worn with your Khakis or even cool white shorts, grab a jhola & make heads turn..Haute it is!

Printed Slip on Chappals: Footwear boutique at
                                                                                         M.G.Road, Pune.

Slippers, off cut high heels, flotos n flipflops are also available galore for girls to indulge in this summer.
Like these sweet silver ballerinas, apt for a summer party! Hit the floor in these light flats and see hearts flutter at ur feet..

After this old favourite between flats, the Gladiator sandal or Gladiator strap boot, is a trend which has been developing for a year or two.  These were picked up from a shoemaker's shop at the Mahabaleshwar market.
\
On the other hand it’s the marriage season in India too. Picking the right footwear to go with the saree is as important as wearing the right clutch to match ethnic wear.
These Summer smooth sandals are also going well with this vibrant Kanjivaram sari. So dont hesitate to experiment.

                                                                                        Summer smmoth sandals: Metro, Mumbai.

Kolhapuris and Juttis are excellent for this purpose and even apt for following the ethnic eclectic trend. Wear them with your western casuals and get that Indo-fusion look.  I picked up these Indian beaded and sequined Juttis from a traditional shoe-maker in one of the Peth areas of  Pune.

I quote a summer fashion tip from a fashionista friend, “ Please keep off Osho chappals! They are definitely a big fashion faux pas, especially under torn jean ends…”
