Blogger's Blues

Yes, I accept I have the blogger's BLUEs. I am fighting it. I am trying to bring myself back to posting regularly but I just haven't been able to. Please don't ask me WHY? I was more regular at writing stories and poems over at Klishmaklaver but even that is terribly deficient in this New Year...But refuse to succumb to the circumstances and give up on this passion that brought me some accolades in the last year...
I SHALL BLOG!!!

Heres an attempt at pumping some life back into this deprived blog and renewing my belief in myself once again..

IN blue to fight the Blues...:D

Fall Fashion 2010 inspired

I've been experimenting with my wardrobe a lot over the past few months. And like a confirmation to continue doing that, a couple of fashion students caught up with me at Koregaon Park. I soon realised they were complimenting me on my style and then requested me if I could answer a few of their questions as regards the fresh fashion trends.
This doesn;t happen to me everyday so I was mighty pleased with myself and flattered too..hehehehe :))

Now my confidence about the experimental look i was wearing that day has risen a notch higher and so I am about to share it with you...

My Award acceptance speech! ;)

Dear Fashion-holic & Foody friends,
Today is a new level of happiness for me. Though its been only very few posts spread over a span of time but posted with great patience over here, my reasons-for- living are being recognised as legitimate. There is someone who has been able to relate to it and has listed me as worthy of reciept of not one but two blog awards straight away!
It is time fo rme to exult...Yayyyyy!
I am guilty of having always treated this blog like a foster child. It was originally only a personal sounding board and hadn't shaped up in character and content until only recently when I discovered I could utilise it to express my passion for fashion. Am greatful to all of you that I havent recieved brickbats but only generous words of praise for my silly escapades.
I am especially thankful to Upasana of 'The It Fashion' for bestowing these laurels on me.
I had been waiting for a long time now for that ONE signal that could tell me that I am to continue blogging here! And I recieved TWO...
And here they are...

I accept them with a bow!!!!!
;)
And since I cant be selfish and keep them all to myself I pass these on to

Tanvi

Janani

Becky

& Dusk

They are more deserving than I am, in fact! :D

Wild is me!

They say the warm weather brings our inner animal out of hibernation. And Saturday Nights are HOT indeed at Smokies, Pune's First BrewHouse and Liquid Buffet Place. So the party animal in me decided to get up and go bold! :D

WARNING: These pics have been clicked after a round of Mango flavoured, freshly brewed Doolally Beer and sumptuous dinner. Please pardon if I appear zoned out at some places..hehehe..:P

After shaking a leg and all the booty possible to the groovy music, the soft luscious lawns beckoned to me.
So I sit down!

And the nocturnal animal gets to some meditation....;) :D

Dhoti Pants

Yes, I've fallen for the Dhoti Pants too..:))
These pants have been around since the last season but I managed to locate one that suits my style, finally.
As in the print is the way I like it and the fit is comfy too.

I teamed the Pants with a black, full sleeved knitted Turtle neck as you can see. It was perfect for a drive down to Lonavala on a chilly rainy evening..;)
Disco bangles and earrings to compliment the Pants.

The ideal length of these dhoti pants is just above the ankle. However since the time this style arrived on the scene it has been explored to the ends again. You can now spot these Dhoti styled pants with extra-deep crotch depth and contrasting tapers too. The front or side zippers, buttoned ends variations are also available. I've also found Wrap-around style Dhoti pants but I prefer mine, the smocked ones! Easy to pull on and ultra comfy.
These pants are apt for travelling or to sport  the cool casual look at a picnic say!

Dots & Nets

Since the time Coco Chanel transformed BLACK into a fashion statement, the little black dress has become a quintessential element of every girl's wardrobe. Here's revisiting a little black dress with another fashion favourite; the dots. My friend here chooses to wear it with fish net stockings and basic black pumps.
By her personal fashion sense, she goes blingless.
It's Vibzy's touch there that she sports those bangles in one of the shots!  ;)
I'm sure this is going to net a lot of hearts for her!! What say you??

More delicious Lady's Fingers!?

When its cloudy and dark outside, you needn't be gloomy inside.
Bright nail colours are here. Painting your nails with bright Matte colours is IN.
And it is also an instantaneously effective way to lift your spirit on a gloomy, rainy day.
SO if you are at work or stranded at home, see that you have a bottle of one of these colours handy..And paint way...

However see that you are not sporting too loud and disturbing colours on your nails at meetings, conferences and other formal occassions at work. Try mettalic shades of gold, white, bronze and graphite.)
Before, I usually wore nail colours that suited my skin tone, selecting them very cautiously. An they were mostly neutrals and mettalics but this time the trend is to let go off all inhbitions and go wild with these extremely zanny shades. And you may even wear a contrasting colour to your outfit highlighting your fingers, without a care!

This Mango shade is one of the wildest Ive sported this season besides the neon green I dared to wear the other day. You can see one of the other available shades of green on my friends long, fair, slender fingers.

The photographs are not doing full justice. You would find that the nails looked even more awesome if you saw it in person. I tried an electric Blue shade with a single swish of sparkle on top, on my nails the other night. We are both wearing Black and these colourful nails just made us look more chic!

Following these nail trends will give a new lease to your fashion sense and will also speak a lot about your personality. SO go ahead and indulge.  Make 'em look more delicious!

S(u)rge of DeNimes again!!!

Originally made in Nimes, France Denims have been in use in America ever since the 18th Century and now Denim Shirts are back in vogue by the trend alert given by my style guru Smrithi Rao at Vintage Obsessions.

So what I promptly did was, salvage my Denim Shirt from the back of my wardrobe and go Retro too.
I decided to team it up with my favpurite pair of fatigues.

I put the look together with Levis Jean Shirt, Rifle Fatigue Pants, Grey Singlet, Tissot Sea Touch Smart Watch, Vintage Silver neck band, Vintage Silver and pearl earrings
